Sorry for the missing blogs... I have had trouble logging in..LOL..Well, now I'm back..
I want to encourage you to take some small baby steps toward better eating. Don't stress to change everything at once. If you start with small changes each week and add to that foundation every week, you will build a better, healthier lifestyle... I am certain you didn't just wake up one day out of shape.. took awhile to get there, journey back will take time too. SO..Take a deep breath, make a plan and start with those baby steps...Reach out for a hand when you stumble, and keep your eye on your goal... Enjoy the walk..CYA around the salad-bowl my friend.

Girls, girls, girls, FOOD is not your enemy!! You must face and conquer the enemy right under your nose. Yes, that's right your MOUTH.. What goes in and what comes out!!!
1) Be aware of what you are stuffing into it.. Check out MY new best friend - thedailyplate.com
It is SUPER, once you navigate your way around it. It lets you type in whatever food you have eaten..fresh veggies, McD fries, Fuddrucker 1/3# burger...whatever...and then it keeps a running tally of your calories, it even helps you calculate what your calories should be and how the calories you are eating break down into carbs, fats, protein... I love it...there is an instruction video on one page to help you get started or ask me and I will do what I can to get you going.
2) Watch what comes out of your mouth..Do not be doubting and putting yourself down. Speak words of life to yourself and not death.. Encourage yourself and others... BE your own BEST tool.. Tell yourself you will succeed, because you CAN!!AND together we WILL!!!
Well more on these two tips later...going to eat some bbq chicken and beans.CYA soon.

NO MARTYRS HERE!!!!

Girls, Eating healthy is not about depriving yourself(or your family) nor is it starving yourself. IT IS about thinking outside the box (literally). As I said yesterday..the rawer/fresher you eat the better it is for you and your family. I am not suggesting we all become veggie-tarians (however that would be a good idea) but do think about what you eat.
This is the time to search out new reicpes or visit old ones...Farmers markets are everywhere and so is good fresh produce. Find a new one you haven't tried...then do your homework(internet here we come) and figure a way to fix it. As you mature, your taste buds change...so something you use to think was YUCKY may be your new best friend. TRY it you might like it.
Below is a recipe from one of my fav sites. hungrygirl.com Check her out..
Open the cake mix...make your dessert and mix up the rest of cakemix for the family in cupcakes. EVERYONE wins!!!
Mini Microwave Triple Chocolate Cake Per SERVING (entire recipe): 123 calories, 1g fat, 201mg sodium, 28g carbs, 0.75g fiber, 12g sugars, 2g protein -- POINTS® value 2* Yes, this is as good as it sounds. And no, we don't consider using a microwave "baking"! Ingredients:2 tbsp. Pillsbury Moist Supreme Reduced Sugar Cake Mix, Devil's Food 2 tbsp. Cool Whip Free, thawed 1 tbsp. fat-free vanilla yogurt 1 tbsp. Hershey's Lite chocolate syrup, divided Directions: Stir together the whipped topping and half of the syrup, and then place mixture in the freezer to firm up while you prep the rest of your dessert. Next, in a very small microwave-safe dish (like a ramekin), combine cake mix and yogurt. (Don't worry if it seems like a small amount. Your cake will puff up -- we promise!) Stir until smooth and blended. Microwave for 1 minute, and then allow to cool for 5 minutes. Once cake has cooled, remove chocolate topping from freezer, and spoon it over your cake. Finally, drizzle the remaining chocolate syrup on top. Enjoy! MAKES 1 SERVING
I'll be back later I am going to make mine for lunch...CYA
